UX Research
It is easy to forget that UX is a research based practice that aims to put the user at the centre of the design process. Far too often it gets lumped in with the core UI projects and the visual outcomes. Good UI comes out of good research. It is far too easy to get dough eyed about your product being visually brought to life but if you have not designed it around your users needs, your unicorn idea will quickly become a donkey with an icecream cone on his head.
Do good research, design great products, make your users as happy as possible. Simple.
Brand Discovery
Once we know who your user is, it is time to match them up with what your brand is offering and how they are offering it. Great brands have consistent deign throughout their online (and offline) eco-system. We need to work to ensure that your product slots into this eco-system so that your brand and product strategy are aligned.
Users should feel like they are using your SaaS product or on your website. The same way you know you are in Ikea, even if you didn't see the sign as you walked in.

Scalable Systems
Strong foundations are the corner stone of all good products. Not just in the code base, but in the design system and the operational processes. It may not seem that important while you are trying to "hack it" stage of the business, but setting up a good design system will take a lot of pressure off the business when it is time to scale.
I use frameworks similar to atomic design to ensure your components are consistent, reusable and always on brand.
